About the author

Welcome!  This is a new blogger trying to figure it out!  Some patience may be necessary so I’ll apologize in advance.  But this is about me so here it is.

I’m lucky to be married to a man who, though often thinks I’m nuts, is intelligent enough to realize I’m really quite brillant.  Unless I have a comment on anything he may be working on which is giving him difficulty.  This is ok, even when he doesn’t realize I’m right, I love him anyway.

Thanks to Mendel’s laws of genetics my four sons have inherited the best of both of their parents in unique combinations, and only a small fraction of the worst.  Nothing worse than seeing your own flaws reflected in your offspring!  Each one is very much their own person and this is important because they drag me along in their interests, widening my world, helping me grow.  Sometimes I haven’t wanted to grow thank you, but this is the nature of things and I have to keep up!

I’ll give you an example- Marvel comics.  I’ve read em, watched em, even taught myself how to draw them and painted them life size for their bedroom walls.  Even designed a halloween costume of one for myself one year.  Let’s say it was “effective”  MMM maybe I’ll put that on my blog someday, so I’ll stop this here.

I work hard,,,I have a tendency to zone into my work, and a nasty habit of dragging others into it if I can.  Let me explain this, my present position as a Health Specialist/Service Co-ordinator, requires I use volunteers.  One of the best perks of my job is that I get to have lunch with my husband most days.  Sometimes he shows up when I’m busy and he gets volunteered for whatever; copying, unstopping toilets, giving workshop on water quality, advising on workers comp questions- he doesn’t come by so much anymore!

I love to explore, learn, improve.  This blogging endeavor will certainly do all three.  And I think I shall need help in this.  So I shall be seeking mentors - namely one of my sons to help me set it up better.  They will be so thrilled to be asked.  See I need an emoticon here to underscore the sarcasm.

Welcome again and I look forward to comments and dialogue!  Post honestly, constructive criticism and advisement is sought.

Can you help me? by referring people interested to serve as volunteers in the hospital. The hospital is taking care of cancer affected children, children born with heart defects and more…
